Objective of Project - Build and execute a marketing plan to generate sales of Prophet - The Sales Contact Manager Build Into Outlook. Project included a website, positioning documents, competitive analysis, market analysis, copy for website, tutorials, user guides, comparison sites, search engine optimization, paid search and PR support.
Marketing Challenge - The market for contact managers is dominated by ACT!, Goldmine and Salesforce.com in the small to mid sized business segment. The primary differentiator that Prophet brings to the party is a true integration into Outlook via the .NET platform. The challenge then was to build a site that highlighted the primary benefits, key differentiation and was built to be ranked highly in search engines.
The Work - In conjunction with contracted web developers and designers, we created a website for Avidian that currently indexes over 280 pages, drives 95% of the companies revenue, supports the sales team and has 11 distinct, non-trademarked terms in the top 5 of the major engines including Sales Contact Manager (#2 on Google). Not bad for a company on a bootstrap, start-up budget. Avidian has been nominated as a top new technology by the WSA and one of the best places to work in Washington. We are proud of their success.
