Google is 2/3rds of the way through a major search engine ranking program (SERP) update to their algorithm (the business rules that decide who gets ranked where). Google is making a dedicated effort to list only the most dynamic, popular, authoritative sites possible in the top 10 for highly competitive keywords. So if you have a small site that hasn’t change much, is not sticky (return visits), and your backlink patterns are unnatural, you’re probably wondering what happened to your website’s rankings.

I just uploaded the www.branddigital.net site to Google via their relatively new tool - SiteMap. SiteMap is built to give Google more visibility into websites that they haven’t crawled or indexed - part of the ubber goal of indexing every single web page out there plus some :-) . It’s free like Froogle, but unlike Yahoo! SiteMatch.

Sign-up now for the November 11th Search Engine Marketing Workshop. We’ll get into specific strategies and tactics for search engine optimization, paid search and trusted feeds including link building, content distribution and advanced bid strategies.

Just finished up with the first Internet Marketing Best Practices Seminar. The attendees really liked it and I think it went well. We had some issues with the wireless, but were able to get connectivity by the afternoon part of the session.
