I'm having the same problem with my pages. I'd like to merge page 1 (1,500 likes) with page 2 (4,000 likes), but it won't let me do it... only the other way around. Has anyone figured out how to do this?
Please help.

Thanks for the great presentation Sean. I used your fully engaged social media structure in a presentation I did for the UW MBA Direct Marketing class on Sunday as part of the discussion on SEM, Social and Integration (full credit to Ant's Eye!). Presentation is posted here if you're interested: http://www.slideshare.net/scottfasser/search-engine-marketing-presentation-to-uw-direct-market-class

Thanks for getting back to me. Yeah, it's the same name. So I add the "like" button code in the edit page section for the name?

Hi John,

It's confusing for sure, Facebook hasn't made this process easy. By adding a like button from the new profile to the domain is one way I've seen Facebook "authenticate" a connection. Is the new page the same name as the older Wikipedia community page?

Hi, I'm trying to merge a wikipedia page that has over 32,000 fans on it with our official that has over 19,000 fans. I've tried everything I could, I was trying to use the merge page you had linked there, but it did the "authentic" thing, which doesn't make sense to me. The merge option doesn't even show up under resources on the page I admin.

I wanted to ask, what did you mean when you say to add a badge or like button to the domain? How do I do that?

Thanks
John.

Two weeks is ideal, especially if the business has been running for a while. Two weeks gets you two full cycles of weekdays and weekends. For brand new business, since the initial traffic is so low, any marketing push is going to goose your numbers so baselining is tough early on.

For a business that is just getting started -- perhaps they don't even have Google Analytics setup -- how long would you recommend they simply "sit and collect" data to get their initial baseline? Couple of weeks? A month?
